Do polls matter?

We have seen polls-a-plenty in the last few months. All kinds of polls. Is it all Bush’s fault or is it Obama’s fault? Are the Democrats the problem or is it the Republicans? Do you view blah blah blah?

WHO CARES?!?! If polls mattered, the Health care “reform” would not have passed the way it did yesterday.

Every week we hear about this group or that group making noise about the various causes. It seems to me that he who speaks loudest wins, regardless of the cause or it's validity. Unless it is a conservative voice. We have “the greenies” screaming save the planet, so now we won’t drill for oil right here in America where we have it available by the barrel. We have Democrats in Congress telling the public, on record and on the news every day, that the vast majority of Americans want health care reform. We have the Speaker of the House stating that the majority want the public option. Speaker, the vast majority DO NOT want the public option. The vast majority do want health care reform. BUT we do want the government “hands out of the cookie jar”!

If polls mattered, the representatives that we voted into office and that work for us would not have passed that pile of crap called a health care reform bill. We have seen the TEA Party attendees maligned and made fun of by those who swore that the election of Obama would bring an era of “peace and civility” back to Washington DC. Speaker Pelosi, YOU LIE!!! If by peace and civility you mean calling TEA Party attendee’s Nazi’s then I guess you have succeeded.

The White House has declared war on Fox News. Why? Because they will not tow the party line and bow at the alter of Obama. They are viewing the political happenings in Washington with skepticism and distrust. Could it be a political ideology conflict? Maybe. Could it be that Fox News is doing what Journalists are supposed to do? Maybe. Or could it be that the White House is mad that they have gotten the main stream media brainwashed and Fox simply didn’t go “gentle into that good night”? Probably. Fox has resisted singing ANYONE’S praises, including Bush. I seem to recall them taking him to task regarding multiple issues so why should Obama be any different.

Polls don’t matter. They might matter to you and I, but I doubt they matter to the White House, to Congress or to the cronies that reside in Washington D.C. (District of Criminals). They didn't matter 1 year ago and they don't matter now. Regardless of whether anyone asks me a poll question or not, my opinion is this:
1) Government is the problem not the solution.
2) More Government makes more problems than it fixes.
3) With our Governments track record of abyssmal failure, why should I trust them now, regardless of who is in the White House and controlling Congress?

Random questions.....

1) I am wondering if/when ANYONE will stand up and tell the Congress we have had enough?

2) Am I the only person willing to call the President a liar?

3) Am I the only person willing to question EVERY person he has appointed to positions of significant influence yet not be accountable to anyone?

4) At what point does the President accept the issues he has to face are his and his alone? When does it cease to be a problem he inherited from the previous administration?

Things that make me go Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I'm guessing the answers are as follows.
1) No
2) No
3) No
4) Never as far as I can predict

This is the issue. We have a Congress and a President who feel that the citizens of this country are insignificant. They feel as if we and our opinions do not matter. They think that the needs of the few outweigh the needs of the many. A few, 15 Million or so, need health care. So lets destroy a system, while having flaws, is still the best system around for the many, 285 million or so.
The debt is rising. Lead by example and do your job for no salary. That would help significantly. That is the best start, I can see, to eliminate wasteful spending.

President without a country

President Obama believes we are no longer a Christian nation, we have been arrogant and that after 9/11 we didn't live up to our ideals. He believes that as the head of the greatest power on the planet that he should bow to foreign leaders and it is ok. He even told people, while in Egypt, that you could say America is a Muslim nation.

So I am thinking that we have a President looking for a nation to preside over.

America is no longer a Christian nation? Then what are we?

We have been arrogant? Was that before or after we saved Europe from the Nazi's? Was that before or after we captured Saddam Hussein?

After 9/11 we didn't live up to our ideals? Was that after or before this nation came together to handle our business? Did we fail while we as a nation set aside political ideology for a while to take care of New York? Was that happening while the Fire Departments, Police Departments and others risked their lives to try and save people from the twin towers? Was it going on in the main stream media while they showed footage of people coming form the 4 corners of this great nation to volunteer to do what needed to be done, regardless of what that was, to help out?

We are a Muslim nation? Really? That must have happened while I was sleeping. Did the Main Stream Media forget to announce that? because I could swear that there are still more Judeo-Christian churches than there are Mosques. The Muslims must be meeting at St Patricks church now.

Mr President, do yourself a favor and close your mouth. The statements you read off your teleprompter are embarrassing to this nation. It only serves to show two things. Either you1) are completely clueless and out of touch with America as a whole or 2) you are showing your true allegiance and it is not to this country.

I believe it is both of those. I think he and about 98% of his party are out of touch with main stream America. And I think he does not have any allegiance to this country. So if he does have no allegiance to the U.S., then who does he have allegiance to?

Just another week

We embark on another week of the MSM praising Obama. We get to listen, if you so desire to tune in, to them chant his name, regurgitate his mantra for change and hope. Yet for all the hype around this President, he has done very little. He failed to get the Olympics to Chicago. He has done nothing in the Middle East. The way the MSM had him hyped prior to his swearing in, he was going to solve world hunger, stop the wars in the Middle East, prevent global warming and get Israel and Iran to sing Cumbaya around a campfire eating smores!
So what has he done? I mean what has he really accomplished? Nine months into a 4 year lifetime and he has accomplished JACK! Other than Bow to a foreign country leader. O yeah, we are now about $12 TRILLION dollars in debt. He is spending my hard earned dollars faster than I ever did.
Is it time to audit the Federal Reserve? It sure is. If I was doing what they Government does in a business, I would 1) be fired and 2) the board of directors would surely audit the books. And both with good reason. Where is the money going would be the first question. Where, if any, are the sweetheart deals being made would be a legitimate question.
Tell them to start the audit!!

Thoughts for the day

I find myself in a quandary. I spent 20 years in the Navy and every time I re-enlisted I took an oath. I raised my hand in front of witness' who watched me make a promise. One that I was ready to enact at any time it was needed, without hesitation or reservation. I never carried a gun in combat. I never had to hold a position on a hill. I was in the Navy, not the Marines or the Army. Yet my oath was the same.

" I, State Your Name, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God. "

I still choose to live my life by that code. I stand ready to defend my country against all enemies, foreign and domestic. I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same. THE CONSTITUTION, not the government. So help me God. I never took the oath lightly then or now.

Now I find myself in a position that I am questioning my oath. If it comes down to defending the Constitution and it's intent as the founding fathers wrote it, I may have to defend my country against domestic enemies. Our own elected officials. Our officials seem intent of destroying / re-writing the Constitution. Now I am saying I am going to march on Washington with a gun. BUT I can let my voice be heard. I can hold my elected officials accountable. As accountable as I can. I am only one man.

But a song often starts with a single voice.

Mr Rogers neighborhood

Is there anyone else out there or is this the only voice of reason we've elected?!

Back after a while

It has been a while since I posted. Evidently work and school and 2 kids take a lot of time.

Well what has happened since I last posted? The President is listening to the people? Nope. Congress is listening? Nope. Is anyone listening? I would like to think so. But who? I am sure I'm not alone, but I feel as if I am screaming in a storm and no one can hear.
